Week 13: First VLog!

In honor of HITTING MY MAJOR GOAL OF 1600 CALORIES today… I am launching The Macro Experiment YouTube Channel and first VLog!! :)
Please support me by liking, subscribing, and sharing this information. My goal is to help as many people as possible to do what I did! 

So… I originally had a goal of reaching 1600 calories by Nov/Dec. It is September 3, 2014 and I'm at 1600! Let's see how much more I can eat without gaining weight! I like this game. ;)

Lot's of exciting stuff is coming up! Along with the new YouTube channel, I thought it would be neat to do an interview series on the blog! I will be interviewing some of the people who have inspired me the most since the beginning of my fitness "journey"! Stay tuned! 

Also -- some big news on the subject of Reverse Dieting! Dr. Layne Norton and Sohee Lee are coming out with a book on Reverse Dieting soon! I am so stoked! I will definitely be posting a link whenever it's available! :)

Thank you for this.
I found you via Layne Norton and you've given me major inspiration.
I also, have been wanting to reverse diet for so long now but have given up before I even start straight away thinking it won't work for me.. and making up all these excuses. I'm so stuck at minimal calories after an eating disorder due to knowing that fat gain will come if I add calories. (weight has been recovered, calories still restricted).
This has given me motivation! I look forward to following along with your journey and hope I can have similar success to you.

Wow, that means so much to me… That seriously makes me feel like my purpose is being fulfilled. You will be AMAZED at how the reverse diet works. I mean, I think it is a miracle to be honest! I definitely give God the credit for answering my prayers by allowing me to find this method somehow. :) If you ever need any help or have any questions, I am always here for ya!! <3

Hi cait! I had the same experience. I was eating a little and working out!!!! I was lifting with eating nearly nothing. My metabolism crushed. All hormone levels went crazy. Stopped having periods. Then i did all the things just like u. Slowly inreased my cals and carbs most importantly. Like every 2 weeks and didnt gain a pound or fat. My body fat was 12 and i continued upping my cals until i reached my upper metabolic limit and started to gain fat which was 3000 cals!!! And started to eat my maintanence after that. Gained 1 kg and reached healthier body fat 17. I am so happier right now. My muscles look fuller and now i am fit. People understand that i am working out and fit right now. At that time everybody was trying to feed me cause i wasnt look healthy or fit. Just starved body. It took me to reach it just 6 months. All my hormone levels came back to normal. But still no period :( i m sure it will come. Have u experienced losing period? And has it come back?

Oh wow, that's crazy!! Your limit was 3000?! *___* Dannnnng! You are living the dream! I doubt mine will be that high, but maybe if I do a few cycles of cuts and reverses… I'll do my best to get there some day! :P This is so encouraging, thank you for sharing your experience! It definitely gives me even more hope and makes me excited! Wow, still no period? My period has always been irregular, but no, I haven't gotten it in 7 months. :/ I am hoping and praying that it will happen soon! Haha.. I never thought I would wish for that :P
