Life Updates and Baselining Reverse Diet

6/10/2015

This past month has been a whirlwind. I took a 6-hr comprehensive exam, final exams, a praxis exam, and finally graduated with a masters in Speech-Language Pathology. I flew straight to Japan from there and spent every day living out a crazy adventure. All that to say, my life has been non-stop for the past month and it is finally settling down a bit. The good news is, I plan on taking some time to create more youtube videos and devote more time to blogging.

This week I've been baselining for my second reverse diet and, as expected, my calories are already way higher than my first reverse diet a year ago (I also weigh 6 lbs more). I'm excited to bring those calories up and be able to gain more strength and muscle than ever before! Let's do this. ;)

Much love,
- C

PS: If you guys have any questions or ideas for a youtube video/blog post, please let me know! I highly value your input.

Please please pleeeease do a blog post about how to train when starting a reverse diet and during reverse diet. Thanks to your website, I am going to attempt to do my own reverse diet. I have been researching reverse dieting for over a year now and it seems so overwhelming and I thought this is something I could not do without the help of a coach, until I came across your website! I am not a fitness competitor, just a normal girl who spent many years eating extremely low calories and yo-yo dieting. I would just like to know how training/weight lifting can affect progress when doing a reverse diet. I have been told you should decrease cardio when doing a reverse diet and for me, I am scared to decrease cardio or quit cardio altogether.

Hey Courtney!! That's a great idea… I'll try and write a post about that. Wow we sound like we have a lot in common! I touch on weight training in the "baselining/training" step of the "Metab Rehab" section of this blog so def check that out too! To gain as much MUSCLE as possible during a reverse, you will want to definitely be incorporating LOTS of lifting, and less cardio (taper it off slowly, just like you add in calories slowly). Anywho, you can also free feel to email me any time and I'll be happy to give you some more specific advice and answer specific questions!! themacroexperimentcait@gmail.com <3
